Pet Therapy Preparation Class *
Do you & your dog have what it takes to do Pet Therapy?
Purpose: To prepare students for what is involved in becoming a
Pet Therapy Team
with Alliance of Therapy Dogs (ATD)
4 Modules : You may take 1 or all 4 of the modules (in this order).
1.
Introduction to Pet Therapy & What's Involved in becoming a certifed ATD Team
2. Preparation for and administration of a mock ATD test on dog/handler teams.
3. Demonstration of pet therapy visits at active community facilities with certified pet therapy dog.
4. Administration of the AKC Canine Good Citizen(CGC) test by an approved evaluator.
Prerequisites: Basic group obedience class and Current vaccinations
*This class prepares, but does not guarantee, that teams will pass the ATD or CGC test
